In the heart of the Mediterranean, an Island of Passion and Legend
In the nearly perfect triangle that is Sicily - thus called Trinacria by the Greek - the land in the south and east in certainly the most fertile on the island. Catania, Etna, Aeolian Island, Syracuse: names sung by poets, evoking the power of the volcanoes or the luminous glow of sun-splashed stone reflected on the blue Sea.
On foot, slowly, we will take you through those regions, at the top of the volcano Etna and in the heart of an archipelago built of sand and lava: the Aeolian Islands. Volcanoes emerging from the depths of the Tyrrhenian Sea, with names like Stromboli, Lipari, Salina, and Vulcano... land of pumice and obsidian, formed by furious volcanic eruptions. Yet their fiery temper gives birth to a gentle timelessness: villages of fishermen, narrow footpaths tracing the outlines of fields of olive, capers, and grapes... The water has an exceptional purity here and amid an abundance of fish and sea life. In a wonderful landscape, trekking lovers will discover a living flora and fauna.
