ImageBetween the end of June and the beginning of July the normal activity of Stromboli volcano has started again. It is characterised by the red explosions that are known all over the world.


The access to the top (924 mt) is still forbidden but it is possible to climb to 400 mt being escorted by a volcano guide of the island.

The explosions can be seen from a long distance and overall at night, when it is advised to make the excursion on foot or by boat with a stop just in front of the Sciara del Fuoco to look at the craters and relative explosions.

There are favourable chances that the top will be reopened soon (before the end of the season), in order to enjoy the performances of the volcano.
