Guided trek 14 DAYS - 13 NIGHTSGreek before being roman, Naples and the Sicily have preserved several testimonies, the most famous of them being Taormina and Pompei. They are connected not only by an ancient common culture, but also because these two regions have in common the volcanic activity typical of these coasts of the Tyrrhenian Mar. This travel combines the water, the earth, the air and the fire in a combination sea-volcano very evocative. Volcano, Stromboli and above all the Etna, are giant whose volcanic activity has not stopped since 2000 years. It is not rare to see, to the apex of the Stromboli, fire strips that catch up 300, or also 400 m of height... A fascinating show... Moreover, the eruptions of the Vesuvio have given us Pompei, buried under ashes in the 79 D.C. It is only in the amalfitana coast that you can find again the serenity of a world delivered to us from the furies of the earth. Beyond the Lattari Mounts the old marine republic of Amalfi extends, which was a prestigious trading city with the east, and transported the Crusaders. This contact with the Arab-Byzantine world is very perceivable in the maze of little white roads of Atrani, in the cloister of Amalfi and also in the architecture of the first churches of Positano and Ravello. Extending from peninsula of Sorrento, the island of Capri, last residence of the emperor Tiberio, delights us with the sweetness of the climate and the beauty of its localities.
